Connect your own domain

If you own a domain, like yourname.com or shop.yourname.com, you can show your MintLink website on it. Connecting a domain is part of MintLink Plus.

You need to have bought the domain already from a registrar such as GoDaddy, Hostinger, Namecheap, BigRock or Google Domains / Squarespace.

#Connect it

1. Open Custom domain in your dashboard (mintlink.in/storefront/domain).
2. Type your domain, for example www.yourname.com, and continue.
3. MintLink shows you one DNS record to add. Keep that tab open.

#Add the record at your registrar

1. Sign in wherever you bought the domain, and open its DNS records (sometimes called DNS management or Manage DNS).
2. Add exactly the record MintLink showed you. It's usually one of these:

3. Save, then leave it alone. You don't need to press anything on MintLink. The domain page checks every 20 seconds and turns green by itself.

#Common mistakes

• Adding a CNAME to the bare domain. A bare domain (yourname.com) can't be a CNAME. Use the A record for it.
• Typing the full domain into the Name field. Most registrars want just www or @, not www.yourname.com.
• An old record left behind. Remove any other record for the same name that points somewhere else.

The secure padlock (HTTPS) is set up automatically once the domain connects.
