Sell a digital product

A digital product is any file you own the rights to: PDFs, ZIPs, presets and LUTs, beat packs, Canva or Notion templates, e-books, wallpapers, study notes and so on.

#Create the product

1. Open Digital Products in your dashboard and start a new product.
2. Upload your file. The form shows the current maximum file size.
3. Add a product photo. It's required, because it's the main image on your listing and checkout page, and without it buyers can't see your item.
4. Write a title and a short description that says exactly what the buyer gets.
5. Set a price. The minimum is ₹5. The form shows what you'll earn after fees as you type.
6. Publish. Your product gets its own link at mintlink.in/m/<slug>.

#Download mode or preview mode

• Download mode: the buyer gets a download link after paying. This is the default.
• Preview mode: the buyer views the file online and can't download it. Useful when you'd rather the file didn't get passed around.

#Protecting your file

Every purchase gets its own download link. The link is valid for 24 hours and allows 5 downloads. If a buyer needs more after that, they can request access again from the download page, and you or our team can re-issue the link.

For PDFs, you can switch on Enable buyer watermark, which faintly stamps every page of each copy with the buyer's name, email and order ID. It's a strong deterrent against sharing.

#Advanced options

Switch on Enable advanced options in the form to get more selling tools:

• Original showcase price: shows a struck-through "was" price next to your real price.
• Scheduled discount: a discount that runs between a start and an end date, with an optional countdown timer.
• Sales badge, feature highlights and a product video (a YouTube link).
• Usage licence: tell buyers what they may and may not do with the file.

#After a sale

The buyer gets an email with their download link and receipt, and the sale shows up in your Money history. Your share is paid out on the next eligible Friday. See Payouts.
